Born in Memphis, TN, son of the Late Reverend William Smith Jr. and Minister Louise Jackson Mason. He is a family man and Father of three beautiful daughters: MaKayla Dyann, LaNiya Erielle, Trinity Grace. He is a community educator, spiritual activist, accomplished pastor, educator, and visionary. Dr. Smith's path to success began with a calling that ignited at the age of 9 when he accepted the divine invitation to ministry. His journey has taken him from the heart of Memphis to global stages where his gifted preaching has resonated in revivals and worship services across the world.

A lifelong advocate for education and community engagement, Dr. Smith's exceptional journey includes a distinguished academic record. Graduating with honors from Hillcrest High School in 1999, he went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Lane College, setting the stage for his transformative impact in the realm of education. His quest for knowledge continued with a Master of Arts Degree in Education from Union University and a Master of Divinity Degree from the prestigious Phillips School of Theology at The Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
In the Spring of 2021, Dr. Smith reached yet another pinnacle, earning a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Memphis Theological Seminary. His academic achievements only underscore his unwavering commitment to excellence.

Dr. Smith's exceptional leadership has been a shining beacon throughout his remarkable journey. From serving as Youth Pastor and Director of Youth Programs to taking on pivotal roles within his alma mater, Lane College, and beyond. He has consistently demonstrated his capacity to inspire, guide, and uplift. He's been a driving force in shaping young minds, creating positive change within communities, and spreading the message of love and hope through the gospel.

Dr. Smith's dedication transcends the pulpit and the classroom. He has been a catalyst in television, tackling critical issues on news stations and talk shows, championing positive societal change. His multifaceted involvement extends to fraternity leadership, English honor societies, and various student organizations, leaving an indelible mark on each endeavor.

His exceptional journey continues to evolve, with appointments to various pastorates and influential roles in church leadership, and his impactful tenure with numerous roles in higher education. Dr. Smith served and was employed at his alma mater (Lane College), serving in roles such as: Dean of Campus, Director of Environmental Safety, Chaplain of the College, Director of Security and Safety Department, Director of Community Outreach and Dean of Students, respectively. He also served as Dean of Student Success/Student Affairs at LeMoyne-Owen College. Dr. Smith's latest chapter as Senior Pastor of Berean Missionary Baptist Church in Memphis, TN, marks a new height in his spiritual journey, following founding Pastor, Dr. Edward Parker Jr.
